Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Ethics & Disclosures

AIPA's International Journal on AI: Bridging Technology, Society, and Policy is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in academic publishing. Authors submitting manuscripts to the journal are expected to adhere to the following ethical guidelines:

Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript and have agreed to its submission for publication.

Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Any borrowed ideas or text from other sources should be properly cited and referenced. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript.

Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation. This includes financial interests, affiliations, or any personal or professional relationships that may bias the work.

Research Ethics: Authors conducting research involving human participants or animals must adhere to ethical standards and obtain approval from relevant institutional review boards or ethics committees. Informed consent should be obtained from all participants, and their privacy and confidentiality should be protected.

Data Integrity and Transparency: Authors should accurately report their research findings and provide sufficient detail to allow others to replicate the study if desired. Raw data should be made available upon request, and any manipulations or alterations to the data should be transparently disclosed.

Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment should be given to all sources that have contributed to the research, including funding agencies, individuals, institutions, and previous works that have informed the study.

Peer Review Process: Authors should respect the peer review process and respond promptly and constructively to reviewers' comments and feedback. They should address any concerns raised by reviewers and editors in a professional manner.

Publication Ethics: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously, nor should they engage in any form of misconduct or fraudulent behavior. Any errors or inaccuracies discovered after publication should be promptly corrected through retractions or corrections.

Authors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the guidelines outlined by relevant professional organizations, such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Disclosure of funding sources and potential conflicts of interest should be provided in a separate section of the manuscript, along with any acknowledgments or contributions from individuals who do not meet the criteria for authorship.

By submitting a manuscript to AIPA's International Journal on AI, authors affirm that they have read and agreed to comply with these ethical guidelines and declarations.
